Altstadt-Café offers a great variety of breakfast, home-made cakes and pies.

Altstadt-Café welcomes you in historic atmosphere in the former Poor Clares convent.
They offer breakfast and home-made cakes and pies. 
It´s easy to find due to its central location near the pedestrian zone, between Neustädter Kirchplatz and the market square.
The two-story café is divided by free-standing timber framework as well as historic walls. In summer time you can enjoy your cake or breakfast on the romantic patio.

For breakfast you can choose from over 20 different offers such as the country, champagne or holiday breakfast.
During lunch time you can order dishes and snacks such as the so-called Strammer Max (slice of bread with ham and fried egg), salads or sandwiches.
In the afternoon you can enjoy coffee and tea specialties and choose from a great variety of freshly made cakes and pies.

The interior of the Altstadt-Café is divided into two levels and has three steps in the entrance area. It is therefore not barrier-free.

Directions & Parking facilities

On foot:
The Altstadt Café is just a 5-minute walk from the market square.

By public transport:
If you want to travel by train, you can get off at Einbeck-Mitte station and walk along Dr.-Friedrich-Uhde-Straße to Möncheplatz. Cross the square straight ahead until you reach the pedestrian zone on Lange Brücke. Follow the Lange Brücke straight ahead towards the Marktkirche. Pass the Marktkirche on the left and turn left behind the HC Parfümerie onto Markstraße. In Marktstraße, take the first right into Maschenstraße, where you will find the Altstadt-Café on the left-hand side. The walk from Einbeck-Mitte station is about 11 minutes (900 m).

By car:
By car, you can park in the Hullerser Mauer (facing Maschenstraße) in a paid parking lot. From there it is about a 200 m walk to the Altstadt-Café.
