On the outskirts of Freital, in the direction of Rabenau, stands an old half-timbered house. For over 300 years, guests have had to keep their heads down when they enter the low-ceilinged guest rooms.

Gasthaus "Rollmopsschänke" with half-timbered construction, partly also on the first floor, single-storey construction with struts, all windows in original size, gable later bricked in, gabled roof as a tuck-point roof, trough interlocking tiles; later wooden entrance house, sandstone plaque with saying dated 1797; inside handcrafted parlor from 1937; core of the house 17th century, thus together with immediately adjacent Eckersdorf threshing houses and buildings in Zschiedge, oldest generation of typical regional timber construction still existing in the Freital area.

The restaurant has around 90 seats in various rooms. The dining room is probably the original dining room from the 17th century. The Eckersdorfer Stube was added in the 1930s, as were the hall and veranda.
