A treat for the eyes, the heart and the palate – that’s what Il Lago restaurant has to offer. Whether you’re enjoying pizza, pasta or a fine wine, Il Lago, just five minutes from Homburg, brings a little piece of Italy to life. 

Il Lago has been in business since 2011 and offers guests delicious dishes with an Italian soul every day. Alongside traditional recipes, such as pizza from a genuine stone oven, fresh ingredients as if straight from the garden are therefore particularly important. This means the sauces for the popular ‘pasta al forno’ dishes are not made in a soulless factory, but in our own kitchen. The high-quality Italian coffee specialities perfectly round off a ‘pranzo’ or ‘cena’. 

Alongside good food, sunshine is part of the true Italian experience. Whenever possible, we open the lakeside terrace with 120 seats and a view of the beautiful natural surroundings. A further 100 seats can be found in our restaurant, which is of course also open on cooler days.

Since 2017, Il Lago has also offered something special for our younger guests: a dedicated playground with play equipment is waiting to be discovered. Children playing happily, parents enjoying some peace and quiet – that too is part of the Italian way of life.

You’ll find Il Lago right by the Brückenweiher in Jägerburg, which is a popular destination for day trips. The “Fun Forest” climbing park is also just a four-minute walk from the restaurant; from Homburg, it’s about a five-minute drive. The scent of fresh basil, crispy pizza and Mediterranean bakes usually guides you reliably to the restaurant.
