Oste-Ferienhof

The Litsche Hus or the littje, or  lütje Hus (the Low German language has no standardized spelling) has been part of our farm since 1770. Built to accommodate the "Häuslinge" or the farm's old people, it has provided a home for people for over 240 years.

In 2013/2014, we renovated the listed house with a great deal of commitment to ecology and created an unusual guest house that offers families, couples and groups versatile, comfortable accommodation. The roof has been re-covered with local thatch and the clay-plastered walls also create a pleasant indoor climate.

The two vacation apartments "Dönns" (for up to 2 people) and "Flett" (for up to 6 people)  are modern and thoughtfully furnished. The old has been combined with the new. The non-smoking apartments have a separate entrance and a shared terrace.

A spacious, shared hallway with sitting area, tables, chairs, bar and a pleasantly warm stove invites all guests to linger in comfort.  Even if the weather is not so friendly, you can relax here. Children can use this room to play and run around in unpleasant weather. Or use the premises for your seminar, birthday, anniversary, class reunion or company event - at Litschen Hus you can celebrate in a rustic atmosphere in the hallway and garden.

There is also plenty to discover on and around our farm:

• Table tennis table in our "Old Sheepfold"

• Bikes for hire for the whole family (for a fee)

• Farm and vegetable garden, Orchard

• Animals: Calves, cows, pigs, rabbits...

• Fresh eggs and natural milk from the neighbouring farm

• Breakfast rolls, breakfast and packed lunches available by arrangement

We are happy to show and explain farming to our young and old guests, organize evenings around the campfire, accompany you on night hikes, take you wildlife watching!
