This half-timbered house was built more than 250 years ago in Mehle, on what was then the market square. At that time, it housed the village pub and a grocery store.
At the turn of the century, the Schökel family took over the property. Initially, my great-grandfather and grandfather ran the new pub. Over the years, the building was extended, the pub was modernized under the management of my parents, Richard and Renata Schökel, and finally a hotel area with 20 beds was added.
Classic yet fresh cuisine and a selection of exquisite wines make the restaurant popular and highly regarded.
Since I took over the hotel, my aim has been to make your stay at the hotel-restaurant one of stylish hospitality. Attractive conference and function rooms as well as a summer terrace surrounded by a spacious garden should give you an additional incentive to visit the HOTEL & RESTAURANT SCHÖKEL.
