Schillerstein
From the boat, you can marvel at the Schillerstein, which was renamed from Mythenstein to Schillerstein to mark the 100th birthday of the German poet Friedrich Schiller. This honoured the poet Friedrich Schiller for the world-famous drama of Wilhelm Tell.
Rütliwiese
You can also make a stop at the Rütli. The Rütli meadow is considered the birthplace of the Swiss Confederation. According to legend, on 1 August 1291, three envoys from the original cantons of Uri (Walter Fürst), Schwyz (Werner Stauffacher) and Unterwalden (Arnold von Melchtal) swore the eternal alliance of the Waldstätte.
Tell's Chapel
If you have time, why not plan another stop at the Tellsplatte with its inconspicuous chapel with a historical background, known as Tell's Chapel. It is said that William Tell jumped from the boat onto the Tellsplatte with a powerful leap during a violent foehn storm. Not without then giving the boat with Vogt Gessler a good tug.
