Myths of the moor & garden dreams

As a group, you will discover two fascinating natural paradises that could not be more different in their contrasts. Take a seat in the covered carriages of the moor train and experience at a leisurely pace what the inconspicuous natural landscape of the Great Moor has to offer in terms of flora and fauna. On the expertly guided tour, you will learn about the history of peat extraction in the Südheide Gifhorn region and why the protection of the moorland is so important in today's ecological world.

As a contrast, a visit to lovingly designed garden dreams awaits you afterwards: Grandpa Erny's garden is located in Weißenberge near Wahrenholz, about 20 kilometers from the moor railroad. After a culinary refreshment in the park's own conservatory café, you have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the grounds and learn lots of interesting facts about the creation, maintenance and use of the landscape park. Depending on the season, the park always presents itself in a new, colorful dress and invites you to stroll and linger.
