A memorial stone in the old Döhlen cemetery commemorates the first German balloonist Wilhelmine Reichard, who was buried here in 1848. Around 1905, the von Burgk family had a mausoleum built in Art Nouveau style, but it was never used. The tomb with a three-aisled, vaulted crypt was extended in 1932 to become a war memorial for the fallen of the First World War.
