The success story of "Erdbrink & Vehmeyer" began in September 1910, when Bielefeld merchants Friedrich Erdbrink and Alex Vehmeyer opened a specialty store for men's clothing at Kommisstraße 11. The fashion store can still be found today in the building, which was built in 1897 and previously housed a tailor's shop.
On July 1, 1957, Osnabrück businessman Hans Bredow took over the management of the long-established fashion store. In 1966, the store was converted from 70 to 115
square meters. The second remodeling of the premises took place in 1977. Another eleven years later, the salesrooms were extended to two levels and expanded to approx. 190 square meters. A new exterior façade was also added, which has since set a remarkable accent in Kommisstraße.

Since March 2002, the specialist men's fashion store has been run by the merchant
Harald Borm, who, like his predecessor, places great value on quality, a wide selection and increased service, individual and comprehensive customer advice. The penultimate, fourth step in the modernization process was completed in January 2009. The store was completely modernized and literally spruced up. The result is a modern, bright and friendly fashion store, and the product range has also been expanded. Not only have men been able to purchase custom-made Maas clothing for some time now, but since October 2009 they have also been able to purchase hand-sewn, high-quality shoes from the PRIME-Shoes brand. The latest step in modernization was completed in 2014, with completely new lighting, namely LED. 

E&V offers custom-made products for every size. From over 200 fabrics from renowned weavers such as: Cerutti, Zegna, Barberies or Reda can be chosen. Within just three weeks, the coveted made-to-measure item is ready to wear.

Men who prefer "off-the-peg" garments do not have to compromise on quality at E&V. Brand names such as: Digel, Atelier Torino, Bugatti, Alberto, Wellensteyn, pierre cardin, Camel activ, Camp David, Eterna, Olymp or März - München, to name but a few, speak for themselves. E&V also has no size problems, with almost the entire range also available in large and oversized sizes, up to 64, 35, 118 or 5XL. Service offers such as parking fee reimbursement on the day of purchase, selections to choose from at home in peace, alteration service, professional and competent advice are a matter of course at E&V.
