Käthe Wohlfahrt

  • Retail

Specialist store for Christmas articles & arts and crafts from the Erzgebirge.

The Käthe Wohlfahrt family business was founded in 1964. The founding couple, Käthe and Wilhelm Wohlfahrt, came from the Vogtland Ore Mountains and moved to the romantic town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1977, where the company is now based. The total product range comprises around 20,000 items with a focus on Erzgebirge products and other Christmas items. Today, the company is managed by the second and third generations with around 350 permanent employees. The love for the Erzgebirge with its traditional folk art is still a very important part of the company philosophy today.

In the associated online store, you have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Erzgebirge from any location. HERE you can discover the range from the comfort of your own home.

This specialist store is a member of the Erzgebirgische Volkskunst® specialist trade association, where you can purchase original products from the Erzgebirge and exclusive Erzgebirgische Volkskunst® products.
