The culture barn was built a hundred years ago as the "Bentesche Scheune". Today, it is multifunctionally equipped for events of all kinds and yet has retained its charm. The city of Salzgitter and many cultural associations organize theater performances, cabaret, concerts, working groups and festivals here, also in the courtyard when the weather is fine. In addition to a large number of individual events, the "Scheune" calendar of events has recurring program highlights every year. The premises of the Kulturscheune can be hired for company anniversaries, private celebrations and cultural events. The Kulturscheune offers space for 250 seats, 150 seats with tables and chairs or 500 standing places. It is also possible to use the kitchen (with crockery etc.), the stage and the technical equipment (sound and lighting systems etc.).
