The "Kulki" on the western edge of the city of Leipzig is considered one of the most important diving waters in Europe.
The popular Kulkwitzer See recreation area borders the cities of Leipzig and Markranstädt. Not only its excellent water quality and wide range of leisure activities, but also the lush fauna and flora are a delight! Lake Kulkwitz has been open for swimming since the 1970s and is a real gem, especially for diving enthusiasts. With its underwater park and visibility of over 10 meters, it is one of the most popular diving waters in central Germany. Whether surfing, water skiing, boating or stand-up paddling - there's never a dull moment at Lake Kulkwitz.
