Accessible animal and landscape park for all senses and generations

Our non-profit  LandPark Lauenbrück offers fascinating moments and a break from everyday life for the whole family, grandchildren and grandparents as well as for disabled people 365 days a year.
During a day's stay in our animal and landscape park between Hamburg and Bremen, you can see, hear, feel, smell and taste nature with all your senses.

The well-developed paths are also easy to use with walking aids and the design of the path network allows a free choice of route length. This means that the LandPark can also be experienced by people who are no longer as agile as they were when they were younger. You are welcome to borrow walking aids, wheelchairs and handcarts from us.

Dangerous wild and farm animals
Lauenbrück LandPark is home to 200 wild and farm animals in spacious enclosures and large stables. Many of these breeds are threatened with extinction, such as the woolly pigs, aurochs and Zwartbless sheep. It is very important to us to ensure the continued existence of these endangered animal species and to ensure their preservation. You can also get up close and personal with some animal species. Whether riding a donkey or petting the goats,

Play areas for all generations
During the tour of the zoo, there are always opportunities to play in between. The play areas such as the low ropes course, swing forest, knight's castle or giant dune blend in wonderfully with the forest and meadow landscape. Here, every generation can enjoy climbing, swinging together or alone, or taking a ride on the zip wire.  Dogs are also very welcome at LandPark Lauenbrück.

Park landscape for relaxation
The lovingly landscaped flower beds, ponds and natural areas are also a feast for the eyes. Whether raised beds or barefoot paths, each landscape offers its own experience for the senses. Our visitors can discover wonderfully fragrant herbs in many places or pick berries directly from the bush in the meadow orchard, as snacking is expressly permitted here. You can also experience nature in a whole new way by walking along the 100-metre-long barefoot path with its changing surfaces. Or how about a little idleness after all the activities? Loungers, seating and shelters offer plenty of opportunities to linger, relax, picnic or sunbathe,

Offers for children's birthday parties and groups
Whether on an exploration tour with the exciting LandPark rally, a visit to the park with a donkey tour on your own or under the expert guidance of the nature experience pedagogy, the LandPark team plans the excursion for young and old individually according to group size, age and interest. On the website there is lots of information about the group offers, children's birthday parties and material such as puzzles, coloring pictures, games etc. for families to download and print out themselves. These can be used during the visit to the park.

Café-Restaurant LandHof
The LandHof kitchen serves everything from home-baked cakes and tarts to hearty culinary dishes garnished with herbs from the park's own garden. A visit to the LandHof can also take place without a walk through the LandPark. We also have rooms for seminars and other events. Feel free to contact us!

Travel for Everyone
Since August 2020, LandPark Lauenbrück has been awarded the nationwide Travel for All certificate.

"The Travel for All certificate is an award that we are very proud of, because we care about the needs of all our guests - especially people with disabilities, people with limited mobility, older people and families traveling with their children. Thanks to the certification, our visitors now know immediately that we are committed to barrier-free travel," say Katharine and Friedrich-Michael von Schiller, Managing Directors of LandPark Lauenbrück.

On behalf of the Scharnow Foundation "Animal Helps People", LandPark realizes a total of five charitable goals. One statutory objective is the barrier-free design of the park's grounds and facilities to make them accessible to people with disabilities. Through integration and inclusion, the Tier-, Kultur- und LandPark promotes a carefree coexistence of all visitors in the midst of flora and fauna. Special guided tours are offered for people with disabilities and, as a special service, wheelchairs and walking frames can be provided free of charge on site - by prior arrangement. Many seating areas in the park invite you to rest, slow down and take a relaxing break.
