The parish of Hagen is the youngest in the municipality of Hagen im Bremischen.
The chapel community fell to Bramstedt until the parish of Hagen separated from Bramstedt in 1896 and became independent. The new church was then consecrated in 1897. The church has the sonorous Furtwängler organ from 1897, which was extended and renovated in the 1960s. During the renovation in 1987, the church was restored to its original state and today welcomes everyone back in its old, natural splendor.
