Melkhus Theerkorn

Fresh milkshakes and fruity quark dishes and creamy ice cream, aromatic lattes or a glass of cool buttermilk - these and other treats are available in the Melkhüs in Wesermarsch.
The countrywomen know all the delicious things that can be conjured up from milk, but they don't keep this knowledge to themselves. On the contrary, they sell their products in the small green wooden huts with red roofs and white lattice windows, the so-called Melkhüs, which are located on farms along the German Sielroute and invite you to take a cozy break.
The milk houses are open for excursions from near and far in the region from May to October.
The countrywomen offer their milk-related refreshments and are happy to provide information on dairy farming and insider tips on the most beautiful excursion destinations in the Wesermarsch.
Even if the Melkhus operators are not personally present, there is nothing to stop them from offering refreshments: cyclists, inline skaters and all other visitors are welcome to help themselves from the well-stocked fridge and ice cream chests - against payment into the trust fund, of course.
Each Melkhus is unique, and each operator attaches great importance to individual  design: in addition to loving decorations, there are also one or two personal secret recipes on offer. So it's worth visiting all nine Melkhüs in the Wesermarsch region!
