The Birkwitz bathing lake, a former gravel pit, is located in the Elbe valley between Pillnitz and Pirna. An idyllic location right at the gateway to Saxon Switzerland. Admission is free. The parking fee is only 4.00€ for the whole day. The car park is open for you daily from 08.00 to 22.00.
Your physical well-being is taken care of due to a variety of offers. You will find spacious sunbathing lawns on the approx. 650 m long beach. The water quality is constantly checked. It is usually excellent.
