There are good reasons why all Borkum guests enjoy strolling around here so much: Families with children, singles and couples as well as "goldies". The promenade on the largest East Frisian island is simply the natural centre of attraction for everyone. There is the Wandelhalle, the pavilion with daily music, the cafés and bars, from whose terraces you can experience the most beautiful sunsets. Perhaps you would like a sundowner to go with it? Incidentally, there is also a dog beach, numerous beach tent and beach chair hire companies and beach entertainment from May to October. The DLRG monitors the beach section and has a mobile rescue station on site near the music pavilion.
As Borkum does not have a fixed island shape but rather a constantly changing surface that is influenced by wind, sea and currents, movements can also occur in the North Beach (Nordbad) area. You can find more information in the brochure "Gone with the Wind" and in the press release issued by Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH in April 2018.
