Renkenörener See

Lake
A small paradise in the Ebbendorf district invites you to relax and unwind:
Art and nature come together in harmony in the picturesque setting of Lake Renkenören. A circular path leads around the lake to secluded niches surrounded by lush plants and artistic sculptures.

A donation from Ingeburg Thomas made the unique site possible, which has been bursting with life by the Borgloh local history association since 2004. From mid-May to mid-July, the gates to the idyllic lake area with its sculpture park are open on Sundays and public holidays from 2 pm to 6 pm. Special guided tours for groups and photo opportunities for bridal couples are offered by the active members of the Borgloh local history association. The traditional lake festival takes place on the first weekend in September.

After extensive planting and renovation work, the lake has offered even more quality of stay since spring 2024: the excursion café has been extended to include a winter garden, the Japanese garden has been redesigned to make it bee-friendly, the fairground has been enlarged and the gate has been repaired.
