St. Jürgen - Ev.-luth. Kirchengemeinde Kehdingbruch

The Kehdingbruch parish is one of the smallest, still independent parishes in the Cuxhaven-Hadeln church district.

A parochial church was established here around 1570. The western part of today's St. Jürgen Church was built in 1744 and the eastern part in 1753. Under the western part is a crypt of the von Goeben family which is no longer accessible.

Thanks to an inheritance from the von Goeben family, the first and only organ was installed in 1816-1818. This organ, built by the Stade master builder Johann-Georg Wilhelm, was renovated in 2003 and has been used for organ concerts ever since.
