Church
The church was also a victim of the flames during the town fire in 1823 and was rebuilt in Classicist/Neo-Gothic style in 1826-34.
A Gothic wooden crucifix dating back to the 15th century has been preserved. The original high altar from 1465 is now found in the Alte Pinakothek Art Museum in Munich.

Anreise
Hof is conveniently located on the A 9 (Nuremberg-Leipzig-Berlin) and A 72 (Hof-Chemnitz) motorways. From the direction of Nuremberg take the Hof-West exit, from the north take the Hof-Nord exit (B 173), from the direction of Chemnitz/Plauen the Töpen exit (B 2), and from Regensburg / Prague the Hof-Ost exit (B 173).

Parken
Park in the underground car park next to the town hall or in the parking lot at Siegesmundgraben.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
You can reach Hof with the Deutsche Bahn from Nuremberg (RE) or from Dresden with the Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn. The Vogtlandbahn runs between Hof, Plauen and Zwickau. There are also connections to Eger via Selb and to Gera via Zeulenroda. You can get information including at www.bahn.de
