The repertoire and ensemble of the Hannover State Opera are characterised by diversity and internationality. The repertoire includes contemporary productions of classical works as well as world premieres, musical excursions and formats for young audiences. In 2020, the Hanover State Opera won the international "Opera! award" as "best opera house of the year".
