As the largest municipal multi-speciality theatre in Lower Saxony, its charisma extends far beyond the city limits. Two permanent venues, the large theatre at the Domhof dating from 1909 and the intimate emma-theatre with a flexible stage space, as well as many outdoor venues, invite you to experience ever new theatrical moments. In addition, the theatre repeatedly presents different festivals, such as the Spieltriebe, which artistically illuminate a wide variety of themes and focal points on different levels. In addition, the theatre offers a varied participatory programme for all age groups.
