The Ginsberger Heide has always been a popular destination for families. The circular route, child-friendly 4 km, leads past all the sights. From the start, it is only a few meters to the Gillerberg Tower, which rises unmistakably 15 m high and guarantees a great view. After 1.5 km, big and small hikers reach downhill Hilchenbach's landmark, the Ginsburg. The legend of the robber knight Hans Hübner will especially enthuse the youngest, and the view over the entire Siegerland rewards the whole family. After refreshing yourself in the Ginsburgstube, you continue on rustic forest paths to the next stage destination: the natural playground Ginsberger Heide. Here, children can explore and get to know nature in a playful way. There is also space for a picnic in the open nature, or you can take a break at the Hotel+Restaurant Ginsberger Heide before on the last part of the hike—past the ski lift—going uphill again to the starting place.Â
