This bike route in the EUREGIO EGRENSIS leads from Bad Brambach in Saxony to Eger (Cheb) in Bohemia. 

Discover the magnificent landscape in the Saxon-Bohemian border region and impressive buildings on the cultural route of the Vogts. From Bad Brambach it goes across to the Egerland to Wildstein Castle and the nature reserve "Sooser Moor". Midpoint is in Eger/Cheb, where many cyclists from the common border region will probably meet on the "Day of the Bicycle". The return route leads via Seeberg Castle near Franzensbad to Schönberg Castle.

Directions

Via Plesná it goes to Skalná past Wildstein Castle. The next highlight is a visit to the "Sooser Moor" near Franzensbad. Midpoint is then in Eger, where many cyclists from the common border region will probably meet on the "Day of the Bicycle". The route so far is slightly downhill and straight. The return route leads via Ostroh/Seeberg directly to Schönberg and goes slightly uphill.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The former moated castle Schönberg near Bad Brambach served as a knight's seat as early as the 13th century. The gastronomy in the castle offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a coffee or a cool beer at the end of the route.
