The route starts in Schirgiswalde, the "Pearl of Upper Lusatia," and leads via Wilthen, the "City of Brandy," and the heights of Weifa back to the starting point.

Along the way there are wonderful viewpoints and rest areas. These are mostly lightly trafficked roads, bike hiking, and roadside cycle paths.

Directions

Schirgiswalde hiking parking lot at Gondelteich - cross the bridge - follow the Spreeradweg to the left via Callenberg and Kirschau to the main road S 116 - cross this (km 3.5) - "Friesenstraße," "Mönchswalder Straße" - turn left onto the bike path towards Wilthen - cross bridge - turn right towards Mönchswalder Bergbaude/Jägerhaus - along the "Straße der Befreiung" - at "St.-Barbara-Platz" (Brandy Wilthen) turn right towards Irgersdorf (km 8.5) - Arnsdorf (km 10.3) - to the Dretschen-Diehmen intersection - go straight ahead towards Gaußig (km 13) - past the castle (km 15.5) - then turn left towards Naundorf to the "Lähner" inn (km 18) - about 100 m behind the inn turn left towards Neukirch (km 19) - in Neukirch follow "Naundorfer Straße," turn left onto "Oststraße," go straight through the roundabout - turn right into "Ernst-Berthold-Weg" - "Weifaer Weg" - "Straße der Freundschaft" - turn left into "Talweg" - follow the Umgebindehaus bike path via Ringenhain, Steinigtwolmsdorf, Weifa back to Schirgiswalde - Schirgiswalder Markt - behind the Spree bridge turn right along the Spreeradweg to the hiking parking lot Gondelteich.
