A great, easy hike where you "climb" a mountain with wonderful views with only a few meters of elevation gain.

Set in the Upper Bavarian pre-Alpine idyll, Otterfing (S-Bahn and BRB stop) is the perfect starting point for relaxed rounds – whether as a head-clearing walk on long summer evenings after work (including a stop, of course) or for a half-day hike.

This route leads to the Jasberg – which, however, does not mean a summit rush. On the outward journey, you loop via Wettlkam and Erlach. The small hill is especially a secret tip for road cyclists and local walkers. In good weather, you can see the Alpine range with Wendelstein and Wallberg, the Zugspitze, the Karwendel, and the Allgäu Alps. Sitting on the bench by the chapel at the top is excellent, and if the organic farm shop is open, you can get a (always generously portioned) snack.
