Cycle round route: Bad Elster - Adorf - Markneukirchen - Landwüst - Bad Elster

This scenic round route starts in the Saxon spa town of Bad Elster and leads along the Elsterradweg to Adorf, where a detour to the town center with a visit to the Mother-of-Pearl and Local History Museum is worthwhile.

From Adorf, the Musikantenradweg leads to the music town of Markneukirchen. Markneukirchen itself also invites you to stay, as well as to visit the Musical Instrument Museum. From there it goes steeply up to the Upper Hill with the Bismarck Column – the effort is rewarded with a wonderful view.

In Landwüst, the Vogtland Open-Air Museum and the viewing pavilion on the Wirtsberg are definitely worth a visit before returning via Reuth back to Bad Elster, where you can end the day comfortably.
