Open, extensive meadows and field passages through gently rolling landscape provide breathtaking views. In between are forest passages and streams with swamp areas. The family-friendly route has only a short, steep ascent. Just before Mitlosheim, the Rittscheidhütte invites you to rest.

Wonderful views, short rustic bush and forest passages, and refreshing streams provide lively variety. In the enchanting swamp landscapes, rare animal and plant species hide, making for a special nature experience. Gentle slopes, soft grass and forest ground, and a family-friendly length of 14 km make the path especially enjoyable for experienced hikers but also for less practiced beginners. The certified premium trail is named after Dr. Hanspeter Georgi, former Minister of Economic Affairs of Saarland, who, as an enthusiastic hiker, significantly promoted nature-oriented tourism in Saarland.

The trail was rated with 73 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.
