The route runs along the eastern edge of the Winterberg High Hollow. Starting from Hildfeld, 1987 state gold village in the competition "Our village should become more beautiful," over the heights that form the watershed between the Rhine and Weser, past historic boundary stones on the state border between NRW and Hesse, through the "Neuer Hagen" nature reserve with a beautiful upland heath.

Especially during the heath bloom and berry ripening, this hike becomes a delight! At Clemensberg, enjoy a panoramic view of Winterberg to the west, Hildfeld and Grönebach, and to the east the Langenberg, the highest mountain in Westphalia.
