Information boards provide details about bears. The paws of the last bear in Isenthal leave a strong impression. Children learn interesting facts about bears in a playful way.

Train passengers get off at the SBB Flüelen UR station and take the post bus. It follows the shore of Lake Uri to Isleten and on the most adventurous post bus ride to the Isenthal Village stop. The Bear Path, with 6 informative stations (see flyer), is an attraction. A cozy stop at the Mättlistein picnic area with a view of the Kleintalerbach, where the last bear was shot after a dramatic chase, invites in-depth discussion.

From the Mättlistein picnic area, we reach the village, the church (special cemetery), and the playground and sports field at the village exit Gubeli within minutes.

Children can play, learn a lot about bears, and experience a wild, romantic, and primeval landscape.

Anyone who wants can then walk to Isleten and take the steamboat back to Flüelen.
