"Greizer summer retreat - wandering curiously through the times with love and finger."

The Köhlersteig invites you to a varied hike through the Greiz surroundings – with wide views over the valleys of Göltzsch and Elster, quiet forest paths, rocky viewpoints, and fascinating insights into the industrial history and economic development of the region.

Between historic production sites, preserved testimonies of the textile era, and today's crafts and industrial areas, the path opens new perspectives on life and work by the two rivers – then and now.

The route leads along the Köhlersteig and the Rothental Alps, past distinctive viewing rocks, rest areas, and small discoveries along the way – a gentle up and down that arouses curiosity and invites you to pause.

This way, hiking becomes a summer retreat discovery tour here: relaxed, inspiring, and peppered with small surprises.
