The newly signposted circular hiking trail connects the historic town center in Seußlitz, the "Seußlitzer Grund" nature reserve and the vineyards with wonderful views over the Elbe. It is one of the selected 12 Dresden Elbland hiking favorites.

The hiking favorite "Seußlitzer Weinsichttour" is approx. 4.5 km long and a natural, informative, easy and relaxing circular trail. Here you can experience nature and culture in equal measure.

Start and finish is the parking lot in Seußlitz. From there, the trail runs to the right via Seußlitz Castle Park into the beautiful "Seußlitzer Grund" nature reserve with its ponds and species-rich flora and fauna. There are plenty of places to rest and relax along the way. Once you have reached the trout pond (third pond on the trail) with the fish ladder along the Seußlitz stream "Bockau", the ascent "Grüne Warte" begins after the wooden bridge, where you reach the 184 m high so-called "Goldkuppe", the largest Bronze Age rampart in Saxony (400 x 1100 m). The "Schönste Weinsicht 2020" (most beautiful wine view of 2020 ) with a fantastic view over the Elbe is also located on the extensive vineyards here. You can relax and enjoy this beautiful view on the wave lounger set up there. The path through the vineyards also offers further beautiful views of the Elbe valley and the Göhrischfelsen rock on the other side of the Elbe.

After a few meters through the forest, you reach the viewing terrace of Heinrichsburg Castle, a garden house built in 1728 by the then lord of the castle Heinrich von Bünau according to plans by George Bähr. From here you also have an overwhelming view of Seußlitz Castle and Park, the adjacent George Bähr Church with its historic cemetery, which is well worth seeing, the Luisenburg Castle opposite, also built as a garden house, the Elbe ferry to Niederlommatzsch and Hirschstein Castle on the other side of the Elbe. At the viewing platform, you will find an audio station of the "Saxon Wine Trail". Here you can learn lots of interesting facts about the location.

From Heinrichsburg Castle, you descend a few steps past the sandstone figures that are supposed to represent the 12 months. They were created by Balthasar Permoser, one of the most famous Baroque sculptors. After a short section along the forest road, you can enter the French part of Seußlitz Castle Park on the right and take a leisurely look at the grounds.

Next to Seußlitz Castle, which is unfortunately not accessible, is the "Haus des Gastes" with the tourist information office, the nature conservation center and free exhibitions. A café and a restaurant, the Elbe ferry for cyclists and pedestrians, the passenger boat with boat tours, the steamboat coming from Dresden and wineries with refreshments round off the tourist offer at the start and finish of the "Seußlitz Wine View Tour".
