Starting from the Beerheide Cultural Center, begin your hike to the Rodewisch Observatory. The hike leads you over Kaffeehausweg to Kaffeehaus, then onto Frankenweg towards Grünheide up to Rautenkranzer Straße. Then proceed past Zöbischhaus to Carlsturm/Goldene Höhe. From there, take Brunner Weg towards Heideschachen, descend via Fuchssteinweg to the locality of Brunn. Continue towards Rützengrün along Gatterweg up to Schafbergweg. At "Am Teich," continue via Rützengrüner Straße to Rodewisch Observatory.

- Cultural Center – Kaffeehausweg to Kaffeehaus – crossing Klingenthaler Straße – Frankenweg up to the junction with K 7826 – turn right towards Grünheide up to Rautenkranzer Straße – left to the radio mast – turn right – turn left – before Zöbischhaus turn left to Waldhofstraße – cross – past Carlsturm/Goldene Höhe – turn left – turn right – continue straight ahead to Brunner Weg – turn right towards Heideschachen – descend via Fuchssteinweg to Brunn – cross Schönheider Straße – descend via Alte Straße and Mühlleithe – after 200 m turn right on Mühlleithe towards Rützengrün – along Gatterweg – cross Schafbergweg – cross Sorgaer Straße – descend on the street “Am Teich” – turn left onto the main street – continue descending via Rützengrüner Straße to the observatory

Beerheide is located in the southwest of the Free State of Saxony. The nearest larger towns in the area are Plauen, Zwickau, and Reichenbach. Beerheide can be reached conveniently via the A72 motorway. Motorway exit: take A72 Treuen exit towards Treuen and then continue on B169 towards Auerbach, there take S300 towards Klingenthal or motorway exit: take A72 Plauen East exit onto B173 towards Falkenstein and there onto B169 to Auerbach, then on S300 towards Klingenthal
