On the first Urner legend trail for the enduring (based on the CD audiobook «Urner Sagen» spoken by Walter Sigi Arnold, Quadratverlag Altdorf, 1994)

Start/Finish:

Departure at the village post bus stop, hike along the old Chlital path to Gietisfluh (approx. 45’; from June 2024 the historic alpine path to Chlital will be open, the ravine bridge is still missing), cable car ride (7’), ascent from Gietisfluh to Hinter Wang, continue to Vorder Wang to the legend rest area (40’).

The hiking ascent variant: hike to the Alp Nei (Musenalp valley station), then ascent to Hinter Wang, continue to Vorder Wang to the Urner legend rest area.

Then ascent to the Schartihöreli rest area (and for sure-footed approx. 50 m ascent to the Höreli).

The main route leads down via Upper and Middle Scharti to Kirchenrüti, further to Saum (bus stop) and along the Via Urschweiz (with sculpture and craft trail) back to the village of Isenthal.

On the route from Saum to the schoolhouse there are 4 legend sculptures and three craft stations (with QR codes). They enrich the legend circular trail. Isenthal tourism wants to create more added value. Therefore start/finish is in the village (Hotel Urirotstock / village shop / bus).
