Discover your five senses on the "trail for connoisseurs". The 94 km long hiking trail takes you along the Teutoburg Forest through a total of five places and will stimulate your five senses! Each place stands for one of the senses. Feel, smell, taste, hear and see - many surprises are waiting to be discovered along the way. And in between, treat yourself to a rest at exclusive resting places. Have fun!

Even the shortest stage holds many surprises. In Werther, it is worth visiting the new Peter August Böckstiegel Museum or the Storck House. On the way into the countryside, you pass the Jewish cemetery. This is followed by one of the most beautiful stretches of forest in the area. You pass through a magnificent beech forest to the golf course and the Egge. Traces of East Westphalian mining await you here. From the forest, the route leads to Halle, where a detour to the coffee mill is a must. The stage finish is the heart of Halle.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The Peter August Böckstiegel Museum: Peter August Böckstiegel designed his childhood home in bright red, now complemented by modern architecture clad in natural stone. For visitors, the new Museum Peter August Böckstiegel presents itself as an "erratic boulder in the meadow". On 300 square meters of exhibition space, you can discover Böckstiegel's work and special exhibitions on classical modernism. Guests were always welcome at Böckstiegel's house and were warmly greeted and entertained. The "Bistro and Café Vincent" continues this fine tradition and invites you to linger in the museum before or after your visit with a cup of coffee and a piece of cake or a hearty Westphalian specialty.
