Wine hiking in Radebeul promises pure enjoyment and nature experience! Amidst rolling hills and sun-drenched vineyards, a picturesque hiking trail awaits you, inviting you to enjoy fine Saxon wines and breathtaking views. Follow the winegrowers' paths, enjoy tastings in traditional wineries and be enchanted by the idyllic landscape - an experience for connoisseurs and nature lovers alike!
Experience the fascinating world of wine in all its facets on the route around Schloss Wackerbarth. The adventure winery invites you to enjoy the wines in the cozy inn or at cultural events in the park. Information boards along the route also provide fascinating insights into the work and effort behind the wine production of our Radebeul winegrowers.
From the picturesque Belvedere and its romantic terraces, you can immerse yourself in the courtly Baroque style once cultivated by Count von Wackerbarth. The ascent to Jacobstein takes you through the vineyards and opens up sweeping views over the Elbe valley. From the award-winning "Most Beautiful Wine View 2012", you can enjoy a fantastic view of Wackerbarth Castle, the Baroque gardens and the impressive Belvedere.
The nearby observatory in Radebeul also picks up on the theme of wine and highlights the important role of the sun in viticulture. Thanks to the region's typical steep slopes, the sunlight falls at the ideal angle and provides the best ripening conditions for the grapes, even in northern areas. The grapes ripen perfectly, especially on clear autumn days.
A detour to the quarry at Himmelsbusch allows you to experience nature in all its diversity: Here you will find rare and sometimes endangered plant species, which are particularly beautiful when they are in bloom.
