Wyhratal cycle route

The cycle tour starts at the Schömbach dam and leads north-east through the small village of Altmörbitz towards Rudigsdorf. From there, the route continues via Kohren-Sahlis through the Streitwald nature reserve to Frohburg. After passing the Frohburg outdoor pool and St. Michael's Church, continue north-west towards Benndorf. The route continues via Wyhra and Zedtlitz to Borna. After passing the Borna market, the route continues from Bahnhofsstraße onto Wettinstraße and out of Borna. Past the Lobstädt warehouse, the cycle path leads along the main road for a short section to Neukieritzsch. Here you reach your destination.

Altmörbitz is located roughly halfway between Leipzig and Chemnitz. From Leipzig, take the dual carriageway B95 towards Chemnitz. After a few kilometers, the B95 merges seamlessly into the A72. Take the A72 to the Borna-Süd exit. Continue in the direction of Zedtlitz/Frohburg/Chemnitz. Drive through Frohburg on the main road. 9 kilometers after Frohburg you will pass directly through Altmörbitz.

From the direction of Dresden/Chemnitz:

Altmörbitz is located roughly halfway between Chemnitz and Leipzig. Leave the A72 at the Penig exit. Continue in the direction of Frohburg/Leipzig. 12 kilometers after Penig you will come directly to Altmörbitz.

Directions Altmörbitz:

By S-Bahn or train to Markeleberg, continue by S-Bahn to Frohburg, station. Then take bus 265 in the direction of Altmörbitz (Kohren-Sahlis), parking lot.

From Neukieritzsch back to Altmörbitz:

Take the S6 (in the direction of Geithain) to Frohburg, doirt change to bus 265 in the direction of Altmörbitz (Kohren-Sahlis), parking lot.
