Kunstpreis Osnabrück 2026
The aim of the art prize is to establish a regular public platform for regional contemporary art and make it accessible to a broad public. The competition aims to discover and promote convincing artistic potential in the region and strengthen art in the region.
The jury, made up of representatives from museums, art associations and art studies, nominates up to 15 artists who have been presented in an exhibition at the Museum of Cultural History in the Osnabrück Museum Quarter. The jury selects the main prize and the sponsorship prize from among the nominees.
All artists living in the city and district of Osnabrück who work in the genres of painting, graphic art, photography and visual media can apply until March 31, 2026. They must live in the district of Osnabrück or in the city. There are no restrictions regarding the nationality and age of the applicants. The submitted works must have been created in the last three years.
