A cozy café in the historic Moritzbastei cultural center!

The Moritzbastei is the only remaining part of Leipzig's old city wall. It was built between 1551 and 1553 and today the Moritzbastei houses a cultural center for various events with a café and restaurant.

The Moritzbastei café gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in Leipzig's city history and enjoy a coffee in the vaults of the city wall. In the warmer seasons, you can use the café's outdoor seating area and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by the city walls.

Open Monday from 10:30 to 16:00.
Tuesday to Friday open from 10:30 to 00:00.
Saturday open from 11:30 am to 00:00 am.
