Jehmlich organ in the St. Aegidien Church in Oschatz

Church
In 1851 C. G. Jehmlich & Söhne built the organ in St. Aegidienkirche in Oschatz with mechanical action and slider windchests.

Carl Gottlieb Jehmlich (1786 - 1867) & Söhne, Zwickau, built the organ with mechanical action and slider windchests in 1851 after six previous instruments. II/44 There is evidence of organs in St. Aegidien since 1495. In 1933, a tonal and technical rebuild and the addition of a third manual took place. III/56 A new console with the manual ranges of C - a''', the pedal range of C - f ' and electro-pneumatic control document the technical status of this era. When renovation work began in the church in 2002, the organ was first encased and then restored from 2003 to 2005 by the organ workshop Christian Scheffler, Sieversdorf, in accordance with the construction concept from 1933.
