St. Jodokus Church in Rödersdorf

Church
The church in Rödersdorf is a jewel on the edge of the old trading routes from Auma or Zeulenroda to Schleiz.
Its interior is not only almost entirely Late Gothic in style. It also has a well-documented history, which started with a letter of indulgence in 1340. The letter, which was issued in Avignon, relates to the parish church in neighbouring Göschitz and its daughter church in Rödersdorf. In due time, the chapel in Rödersdorf became a popular place of pilgrimage. Two glass windows dating from 1490 represent the crucifixion group and Saint Jodokus.
