Sylvestersee

The Osterheide nature reserve borders the town of Schneverdingen to the east and stretches as far as the Wilseder Berg with its heathland. A purple sea of flowers as far as the eye can see, interspersed here and there with birches and junipers and miles of paths, wonderful for cycling, hiking and horse riding - that's what the Osterheide guarantees. Stroll across the fields, past a sheepfold with a herd of heather sheep, always following your nose. Take a break at the tranquil Sylvestersee lake and gaze across its smooth surface. Take your time and forget the outside world completely for a moment.
