On a part of the circular route, there is a forestry educational trail about 2 km long, where young and old hikers can learn interesting facts about the forest and forestry and get active.

The family route is named after a marten called Martin, the mascot of Sachsenforst forest education. Along the circular route, play stations and information boards provide variety. On the adventure and educational trail, knowledge transfer is combined with outdoor activity and play. Highlights along the way include:

Active stations, e.g., balancing elements, long jump course, or cone throwing area
Playground at the Old Bath
Game enclosure
Retention pond with resting area, shelter, insect hotel, and lookout
