  • Destination: Circular route with the possibility to use other entry and exit points as well.
The route runs almost exclusively on paved field and forest paths and on secondary roads. It offers many beautiful views of the Heberbörde and the Harz foothills.

The beautiful nature and the opportunity to get to know the culture and history of the town and some districts during a break are appealing.

Already at starting point No. 1 you have the opportunity to experience Gandersheim’s history, for example, with a walk through the old town, as a guest in the city museum, or by visiting the Romanesque collegiate church with the exhibition “Discovering treasures anew”.

Another highlight on the route awaits you at the monastery and summer palace Brunshausen. Here is the founding place of the Gandersheim chapter and in the former monastery church and summer palace, the two exhibitions of the Museum Portal to History are located.
