A cozy, scenic route with wonderful panoramic views of Siegerland, passing old mine shafts and climbing high up to the Rabenhain Tower.

The circular hike around the Rabenhain Tower offers great views of Siegen and Siegerland on well-maintained paths. A highlight is certainly the climb of the Rabenhain Tower, which awaits the hiker about halfway through the route. There is also an old mine by the wayside – a testimony to the past that still shapes the region today. Part of the route follows the E1 hiking trail, which runs from the far north of Europe, namely Sweden, to the south of the continent in Umbria.

The hiking agency RothaarTouren offers a guided hike on the topic of "wild herbs":

Dandelion, wild garlic and thyme – herbs enhance every kitchen, are also very healthy and grow in the wild.

Herbs accompany us at every step. Few know that they can be eaten and are often an unusual delicacy or medicinal plant. They taste good, are valuable and easily digestible. Nettles alone have 20 times more vitamin C than lettuce!

Join us on a comfortable and fun herb walk and experience how wild herbs can be identified by feeling, smelling, seeing and tasting and easily prepared into delicious delicacies. The small round is rounded off with tips and ideas for you to try at home.

A small part of this diversity is conveyed during the guided route. Contact / info can be found at www.rothaartouren.de or by phone at 0152/01752274.
