Coffee mill history trail

Haller Stadtwald is a place full of history(s).
Many generations have left their mark here:

• around 1800: Landscape park of the Hagedorn merchant family
• around 1900: "Promenade place" of the city of Halle (Westf.)
• around 1940: site for Hitler Youth combat games

A signposted walk through the forest takes you to the sites of great history in miniature  - from the Age of Enlightenment to National Socialism.
The main things to discover are the relics of the landscape park, which include the "Kaffeemühle"  viewing pavilion. There are also mysterious forest burials, traces of a children's amusement park from the imperial era, the crash site of a Halifax bomber during the Second World War and much more...
