The easy and very beautiful winter hike starts at the Hüttenteich. The Hüttenteich is located on the outskirts of Altenau.

Follow the wide forest road along the left bank of the Hüttenteich. After about 4 km you reach the country road leading to Dammhaus. From here, walk about 300 m along the roadside and you will reach the excursion restaurant "Dammhaus".
