Short circular route to the former excursion destination of the Miesbach bourgeoisie.

The old castle site Wallenburg is mentioned for the first time under the name Waldenburg. In 1467 Wallenburg was destroyed by a fire. Subsequently, the remains were expanded into a mighty castle complex. After a new fire in the 17th century, it was rebuilt as a magnificent four-wing complex. Under the last Count of Hohenwaldeck, the castle experienced the most splendid design in its construction history. Under Baron von Gumppenberg-Pöttmes and his successor Bermühler, the Wallenburg estate with its brewery became a popular excursion destination for the Miesbach citizenry. For years, ecological-biological cultivation has been common in the estate's nursery and the estate's products can be purchased both in an estate shop and at the farmers' market in Miesbach marketplace.
