We have listed the places with km indications (measured from the starting point) as a guide.

0 km: The tour starts in Hann. Münden at the market square.

TIP:  In Hann Münden you can visit numerous sights of the city and have a beautiful view of the Welf Castle from the Werra Bridge.

From there, you cross the Werra Bridge, then turn left and follow the road on the Weser Cycle Path until you reach the village of Gimte (2.5 km) . Now cycle through the residential areas until you finally reach the village of Volkmarshausen.

The route continues on the Weser Cycle Path with a slight ascent until the Schedetal (5 km) begins. The route takes you a short stretch along the B3 and then finally right onto a wide path/partly paved through the forest.

You reach Nieder- and Oberscheden (10 km) and ride on paved paths through a beautiful scenic environment with continuous ascent (from 120 m to 320 m) up to Dransfeld (17 km).

Information:
Shortly before and after Dransfeld you leave the Weser Cycle Path and ride a stretch on the old railway track as well as a short section of a newly built cycle path.

TIP: From here you have a beautiful panorama view of the Weserbergland and the Harz (Brocken).

On paved paths you ride past Varmissen (highest point of the tour: 350 m) and then turn left onto the old railway track (22 - 30 km) continuing to Göttingen.

You reach the "Dransfeld Ramp" - Attention: It goes downhill (descent from 300 m to 170 m in 8 km).
On the descent, you cycle past wonderful views towards Göttingen and Groß Ellershausen, on paved paths through the forest.

Once in Göttingen, you cycle past parks and the city cemetery continuing on the Weser Cycle Path until you reach the bridge "Am Gailgraben", where the path meets the Leine-Heide Cycle Path

TIP: Here you can visit the city sights or take a detour into downtown Göttingen and to the main train station.

The ride continues on paved roads through the Leine Meadows alongside downtown Göttingen until you turn left onto a forest path along a stream leading to a bridge over the Leine

Information: The Leine-Heide Cycle Path crosses this bridge, which has steps on both sides. Very difficult with luggage! Alternative: Continue straight on the path along the Leine on a field path (700 m) until it meets a road, then cross the Leine by turning right on the road.

The route continues on paved paths between fields to Bovenden (40 km), through Weende continuing straight on Saupfuhlenweg until you reach the Marienstein Monastery Estate

After the monastery estate, turn right towards Nörten-Hardenberg

TIP: In Nörten-Hardenberg you will find the Count's Residence Hardenberg.

The path continues along the Leine, fields and railway tracks towards Northeim (56.6 km)

In Northeim, continue on the Leine-Heide Cycle Path and after the railway bridge, turn left towards the Northeimer Lake District

TIP: Alternative route: After crossing the Rhume, turn left (leave the L-H-R) and ride along the lakes on a non-paved path past the bathing area with marina to the parking lot of the Northeimer Lake District. This is a beautiful route with occasional views of the lakes/birdwatching/sailboats.

In the next village, Hollenstedt(61.5 km) you can observe the biodiversity of the Leinepolder at the debris dam with viewpoint / birdwatching point

Then you pass the small village of Drüber (64.5 km). Afterwards, you arrive at the small village of Sülbeck(65.5 km) with the saltworks and the event venue "Kultur im Esel e.V.".
