A circular tour through moors, mixed forests, and past sparkling lakes.

The last ice age shaped a unique landscape with high moors, mixed beech forests, and various lakes. Hike along the eastern shore of Lake Garrensee, which offers leafy swimming spots and crystal-clear water. The wild and romantic scenery continues past Lake Plötschersee and the Schwarze Kuhle. Here you walk along forest paths close to the water and enjoy many views of the lake. Once you leave the forest, the trail continues along a typical North German Redder through meadows and fields. Finally, the Salem Moor offers plenty of peace and quiet and numerous rare plant species.
